Legislators to tackle some meaty issues

June
8

The County Legislature’s Budget and Finance Committee has a fairly loaded agenda for Monday.

Included are discussion items (that means no vote!) on Mirant-refunded property taxes, the county’s Department of Hospitals overtime struggles and the radio communications project, something everyone agrees is important but can’t stop arguing about.

Yowza. I hope the committee members eat their Wheaties Monday morning. They’re going to need it. The meeting will be held at 4 p.m. at 11 New Hempstead Road in New City.
