Jay Hood gets body makeover in Legislature pic

Seems with elections coming up and all, the county legislators were too busy to gather for a group shot with newly-appointed Legislator Jay Hood Jr. So they stuck his head shot on the body of former Legislator Roman Rodriguez.
And whoever did the graphics maybe needs to take a few extra computer classes.
We’ve compared the two for your viewing enjoyment (and ours!) Below are two photographs from the Legislature’s Web site. The first was up in April and includes Roman.

This is the picture up today with Jay on Roman’s body or as I like to call it “Jaymon.”

“I guess they did the best they could with it,” Hood Jr. said from his vacation in Mexico.
“It’s obviously cut and pasted like that, but that’s okay,” he said. “It didn’t bother me.”
Laurence Toole, clerk to the Legislature, said the photo was re-done by the county’s Management Information Systems Department.
And it’s not the first time—Toole said that former Legislator Denise Kronstadt’s head was once pasted onto the body of Chris Seidel, the confidential secretary to the chair.
Many thanks to staff writer Christina Jeng for finding the old Legislature shot on an archive site and putting the two up here for comparison.

How is this interesting??? Boring
Hey, they don’t make the news… This is also why it’s here in the blogosphere.
It made the front page and inside today in the paper.
That’s not news worthy, I’m surprised she bothered. I don’t care about the pic. With the elections this year, it’s smart to maybe not bother redoing a whole picture, get 17 different people together at one time to just take a picture when it may all change again anyway.
Guess she’s not that good a reporter
It’s one of the cute, light-hearted articles. And at any rate, you cared about it enough to post about it here and find it in the paper.
Ok, it was hard to miss in the paper, and it’s not that I care, I just wish blogs were about real news, etc, than fluff that seems more slanted as it them digitally changing a photo was the WRONG thing to do, when it’s simply economical and time saving since there could be changes next year.
From what I’ve read two legislators aren’t returning, etc, so if I were them, I wouldn’t redo a photo either.
Sarah has made a story out of nothing. Waste of space on a blog and paper
Jay is a personal friend of mine. This article was certainly NOT newsworthy and frankly, I found it insulting to my friend who is extremely intelligent and hardworking. Perhaps an interview with Jay would have been more appropriate as his backround and service to the community IS newsworthy.
