Full-time mayor for Suffern?

Do you think Suffern needs a full-time mayor? The only other Ramapo village with a full-time mayor is Spring Valley.
Both are “full-service” villages with their own police and highway departments. Suffern also has its own water and sewer facilities.
Spring Valley Mayor George Darden is paid about $102,000 annually. Suffern Mayor John Keegan, who is part-time, is paid $30,000.
How much would it be worth paying a full-time Suffern mayor?

Maybe Mr. Walsh the question should be the opposite? Spring Valley is the only Village with a full time Mayor, maybe Spring Valley should be like Suffern which is also a full service village yet has a part time mayor earning only $30,000 annually????
That could be. Do you think there's someone out there willing to take on the job for $30,000? Public service for the sake of public service, perhaps?
well part time is part time. so most likely they have a second job. I would do it
I can say from personal experience that even in my small village, the mayor's job is very time consuming. I am surprised that Mayor Keegan can handle all that he does for Suffern on a part time basis. But then I very seriously doubt that any village mayor or trustee is serving for the money!
