Steve:
YES! Finally someone understands why East Ramapo is interested in giving (leasing is more like it) a school to a yeshiva!
Colton Elementary school is the reason why now some homeowners will be able to sleep peacefully at night knowing that the large two acre lot in their neighborhood will *not* be turned into a school.

For those that are not that lucky, make your voice heard and fully support the closing of those schools that can not be maintained at current enrollment levels, then please support giving them to the community that does need it. The aggravation you will have saved might just be your own.

Here's a question. Gov. Paterson is closing schools, The archdioscese is closing schools. Why are sop many yashivas opening up? oh yes thats right because they get free education on our backs and their whole family gets to live there for free.

enough already we have enough McMansions and we have plenty of buildings houses and condos ..

I am tired of the anti-gentile attitude they have towards people. This is very separatist. If the schools didnt house the whole family. there would be enough of them built already. Where are these students coming from that they need a dormitory? Just how many yeshivas does one need?
The number of these schools dwarfs any number of colleges in any one borough. or county.

Lets keep our the land. Here's an idea. schools are closing their doors everyday. The school board should sell the building and property to the yeshiva.

I for one wouldnt want to see Burgess meredith's estate ruined by anything other than his original property being in tact.
