Herman’s Hermits Return for Ramapo Celebration

June
24

Peter Noone’s Herman’s Hermits will be performing for the second year in a row at the town’s Celebration of Liberty and Pride,  an early take on July 4th festivities.

This site was jammed a year ago when the town chose Herman’s Hermits over Southside Johnny, with fans of each band rallying to support their favorite.

In any event, the Hermits must have wowed the crowd last year to warrant a return performance…Sorry Southside Johnny fans.

The program will be at Rockland Community College, where the gates open at 5:30 p.m. Sky divers will entertain at 7:30 p.m., followed by the Hermits concert at 8 p.m. A fireworks display will begin at 9:30 p.m.

Ummm. I don’t know what you were drinking/smoking last year but Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes were the featured band and they put on a great show.

Who wrote this with such poor attention to detail?
“Hermans Hermits wowed last years crowd”?
What sparkler dust were you smoking last year?-they were not even the attraction.
Yet they “warranted a return appearance” by “wowing the crowd”?
    Holy Cow Mrs Brown!!!
They never even showed up or were supposed to as the Jukes despite an absolutely atrocious concert set up put on a great show and professionally as they always do “played their hearts out”.
I suggest you go to this years show as Hermans Hermits are finally hitting that stage.

The author is clearly confused. I enjoyed a rousing Jukes show last year. Surprised this article has not been corrected yet. Quite embarrassing.

How odd. I went to last years show and I saw SOUTHSIDE JOHNNY at RCC. The author of this article must have referring to another show, and it should be corrected.

I have been going to Southside’s concerts for the last 30 years in Westchester and Rockland. It is probably his second home to the Jersey Shore. In April, the Jukes brought down the house at The Tarrytown Music Hall as they used to do back 30 years ago at The Westchester Premier Theater. Herman who? The writer of this article should do a little research; especially the turnout for Southside’s shows across the Pond. Herman and his Hermits would love to open for Southside at these shows!

Got the time and place, but what’s the date? Is it a secret?
