Robert Brum, assistant metro editor in Rockland, joined The Journal News in 1991. He was a copy editor in the paper's Harrison newsroom and night city editor in the Yonkers/Mount Vernon bureau before coming to the Rockland newsroom in 1998. The people of South Nyack are particularly interested in the fate of the Tappan Zee Bridge. The darn thing’s so close to their homes that they can practically set up toll booths in their back yards.
